LaMelo Ball brings so many skills to the Charlotte Hornets

Firstly, Ball would add an amazing playmaker to the Charlotte Hornets roster.

LaMelo Ball is very well known for his passing abilities. Ball has a talent for whipping the ball across the court with little effort.

Ball easily is one of the best passers in this year’s draft and it isn’t even a question. Ball averaged 6.8 assists in debatably the second-best league on the globe. Ball getting 82 assists in only 12 games is absolutely ludicrous and is one of the most impressive stat lines I’ve seen when it comes to passing.

Ball is really good at both inside bounce passes and highlight lobs. Passes are definitely in his arsenal and I’m very excited to see how much more his playmaking skills progress.

Ball also is really good with his handles so his craftiness with the ball can confuse defenses and has done so in the NBL. His handles allow him to penetrate opposing teams defenses and really open up offensive options. Ball’s quick first step is proven to be deadly against defenses where after help comes he dishes the ball to an open teammate.

Ball’s playmaking really shines on the fast break though as his transition scoring is really efficient. On the fast break, he can run the offense and be a great floor general for Charlotte.

The Charlotte Hornets rank 19th in the league for assists per game and adding Ball to the roster would really improve the team’s assists numbers. The Hornets can use Ball’s ability to find open scorers and make their offense more efficient.

Finally, LaMelo Ball would create a lot of media buzz

The Ball family has had a Facebook TV show for a few years now and LaMelo’s dad Lavar can get media attention to a team in an instant. After Lavar made ludicrous statements that he would beat Michael Jordan in a 1v1.

LaMelo Ball brings buzz that the Hornets desperately need. The Hornets currently are one of the least valuable teams in the league and bringing in one of the Ball brothers could help both the jersey sales and attendance in Charlotte.

The Hornets are second to last only averaging 15 thousand plus fans. A Charlotte basketball team can and should hold more fans and the Spectrum Center is more than capable.

Everything the Ball family does is certain to get media exposure and bringing to the Spectrum Center will do nothing but good for the team. Ball could even possibly get himself into the top-20 jersey for jersey sales.
