The Hornets don’t have to ship out their entire roster for Bradley Beal but Charlotte does have to send out a few talented players and a few more assets.

Trade Analysis: So this trade analysis sends a few really good players and obviously the number three pick to the Wizards for the star. The Hornets send starter Cody Zeller to Washington along with a few talented young players to entice the organization.

So for the Hornets, you give up a fairly decent center, who can likely come off the bench if the Hornets sign a better big man. Considering the cap space the Hornets have, the team can definitely pick up a better big man such as Montrezl Harrell or Serge Ibaka. Zeller has been subpar at best as a starter and sending him to Washington will give them a decent role player at the five position.

Giving up Monk isn’t a great option but many teams are pursuing Beal and this could sweeten the deal. Monk is a talented young player and his offensive efficiency is pretty good considering he’s only a few years into his career.

Caleb Martin played well in his limited time on the court but sending him to Washington will give them another young talent with decent potential.

Giving up the number three draft pick is not ideal, but we can still get the ninth pick in this year’s upcoming draft. Having a pick within the top ten still gives the Hornets a player that has a lot of potential and the second-round pick from Washington is just to add to the roster.

Overall, the Wizards get a decent haul from the Hornets and Charlotte gets their superstar. Beal gets a new home in Charlotte and can develop the other guards and bring the team to new levels. This trade gives Washington a haul that a lot of organizations cannot compete with.
