The Charlotte Hornets will have to pay a pretty penny to trade for Rudy Gobert but here is one of a few options:

Trade Analysis: The Charlotte Hornets would heavily benefit from adding Gobert to the roster and I think this move is absolutely great for both teams.

The Hornets would likely have to get rid of the number three overall pick because Gobert’s worth is through the roof. Gobert’s value across the league is really high and to attain him, Charlotte will have to unload a few assets.

Giving up Cody Zeller is a blow but Gobert would immediately fill into the starting spot for the center position. The Hornets would have to use the offseason to pursue bench players for the center position. Zeller is a good player but is by no means super valuable to the future of the Hornets franchise.

Giving away Malik Monk is a necessity because the Hornets can sell high on him as a talented young player. Monk’s ten points per game in not many minutes per game show that he has so much potential and can be a good guard for the future of the Jazz. The combination of both Monk and Zeller is a decent offer as both are fairly good players and can add talent to any roster.

The second-round pick in 2022 is just a cherry on top, this is just to sweeten the deal.

The Jazz would be hesitant to accept this trade but the value of the number three overall pick is really high and with the combination of both talents, the offer will only be turned down if another team gives a better deal.
