Trade Analysis: So this trade does give away quite a bit of future assets including the 2022 first-round and 2024 first-round pick.

So this trade leaves the Hornets with the number three overall draft pick still which can give the Hornets a young piece to pair with Devonte’ Graham. Whichever talent Charlotte decides to pick up can be put together with the young talents of Graham, Washington and veteran star Rudy Gobert.

Giving up Terry Rozier is required to secure this trade as it sends the Jazz a really talented young player and they should be looking got get rid of trade-bust Mike Conley.

Shipping out the 2022 and 2024 first-round picks is fairly risky but bringing in Gobert makes the team immediately better and can help Charlotte make a playoff push.

Grabbing Cody Martin is a young talent that has some decent potential and is just another piece to throw into the deal.

Getting the Jazz’ number 23 pick does give the Hornets another young talent to add to the roster and doesn’t rid the team entirely of future assets.

So the Jazz probably won’t accept this trade because it won’t be as appealing as other offers around the league. When the Boston Celtics can offer Gordon Hayward, it’s so incredibly competitive to make a more tantalizing deal.
