James Wiseman was an absolute monster for the Memphis Tigers, it is such a shame that the NCAA didn’t allow him to play the full season.

Wiseman is a super talented big and his athleticism makes him a real threat to opposing defenses. Wiseman is seven foot, one inch and averaged an impressive double-double stat line in his freshman season. Even though his season was cut short, Wiseman averaged nearly 20 points and ten boards per game in only three games.

With a scary three blocks per game, any roster can use his length and defensive awareness. His defensive capabilities make him a prospect for any team in the top-five picks in the draft.

Interesting, but what is the catch the Charlotte Hornet should be worried about?

Wiseman only got to play three games in his college career. Due to an NCAA scandal he was ruled ineligible to play for Memphis after only his third game. Wiseman’s potential is legitimate but the sample size for his skill is so small. It’s challenging to put faith into a player that is practically coming right out of high school. With only a few games in the NCAA(two of which were against horrible teams such as South Carolina State and the University of Illinois-Chicago), Wiseman only scored 14 points against power-five school Oregon. I think grabbing Wiseman is too much of a risk with so little experience in college.
