At the number three overall pick, the Charlotte Hornets have pros and cons of keeping or trading the pick heading into the organizations rebuild.

The Charlotte Hornets have a very valuable asset in this year’s NBA draft with their number three overall pick and even though taking young talent can do wonders for the organization, adding a proven veteran may do just as well for the team.

With a draft pick within the top three prospects, the team can add any of the respective top-six prospects: Deni Avdija, LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Onyeka Okongwu, Obi Toppin, or James Wiseman.

All of these prospects have their own talents and concerns that all teams should be aware of. Regardless of the player all of these teams have their own positional needs, which can create a huge question mark for if a team should keep or trade the pick. If the player you needed in a position is taken, then your pick is less valuable to your organization, which makes trading the pick an immediate option.

The Hornets organization is really at a crossroads with their pick as it can both bring in a positional player with potential but can also add an established star to the roster to fast-track the teams rebuild.
