Here are the pros and cons of the Charlotte Hornets trading for the previous MVP Russell Westbrook.

The Charlotte Hornets are one of a few serious teams that can pursue trading for Russell Westbrook and they have assets and the cap space to take him on. The assets the organization has is this year’s number three pick, an array of future first-round picks for the next few years and some talented players on their roster.

According to our poll on Twitter, many Hornets fans do not support the idea of picking up the three-time triple-double player.

Swarm City can acquire Westbrook and have the cap space to take on his contract. Westbrook is an absolutely amazing player and despite being notoriously bad at shooting the ball, he started to pick up his percentages after the All-Star break last season.

Russell “Brodie” Westbrook is a two-time scoring and assists leader, and a nine-time All-Star. Westbrook shot 47 percent from the field last season with about eight boards per contest. With 27 points per game and a long list of accomplishments, Westbrook is likely a future Hall of Famer and the organization should consider all the facts when examining a Russell Westbrook trade.
