Who will the Charlotte Hornets be targeting in the NBA Draft?

‘Twas the night before Draft Day, when all through the league

Every GM was stirring, even Mitch Kupchak;

Mint jerseys were hung in the lockers with care,

In hopes that LaMelo Ball soon would be there;

Ok, now that I have used all my artistic creativeness for the day and it is only 1:24 AM, I can get down to the more important things, A. K. A. The Hornets Draft Night. So much can happen between now and 7 PM on Wednesday night, when the draft starts and the Minnesota Timberwolves are officially on the clock. Now judging by the title, I’m sure somebody will argue that drafting an unknown 5’4 middle schooler from Lithuania who is somehow draft eligible would be worse than my worst case scenarios, but obviously we will be going through realistic scenarios.

At the end of the day, nobody has a crystal ball, we can’t see into the future, and it’s very possibly one of these will end up on Freezing Cold Takes’ twitter one day, but oh well. If it does and the Hornets are crowned champions of the NBA because of the thing I was wrong about one day, the rings won’t be rescinded and I could care LESS about being wrong at that point.

Now the 3rd Pick is a HUGE asset and Kupchak has to be careful with it, as the right decision (coupled with future decisions, obviously) could bring a title to the Queen City eventually, which’s the main goal. And the day that the parade float passes through Trade and Tryon is the day that all pain and illness will be removed from the world (or something like that).
