Charlotte Hornets NBA Mock Draft Vol. 4: Full First Round Predictions
Saddiq Bey absolutely balled out for the Wildcats in the Big East conference. Bey earned the Julius Erving Award(an award given to the best Small Forward in college basketball) and was an essential part of the team’s Big East’s title.
Bey averaged 16 points, four rebounds and shot 47 percent from the field for Villanova. Bey was an All-Big East player and greatly improved his footwork and fundamentals between his freshman and sophomore seasons. NBA.com stated the following about his defense on his scouting report:
"“Bey is a heady defender who does not make a lot of mistakes. He does not have outstanding lateral quickness but knows how to deal with switches and allowed 0.56 points per isolation possession [76th percentile].”"
The Kings dealt Bogdan Bogdonavić to the Bucks and got Donte DiVincenzo along with some other minor assets. With Buddy Hields’ relationship with the organization seemingly unrepairable, the team will be looking to fill the gap that Hield leaves. Bey shoots efficiently from the perimeter and can develop into the player that Hield was becoming.
