Charlotte Hornets NBA Mock Draft Vol. 4: Full First Round Predictions
Cole Anthony took the NCAA by storm for the Tar Heels and should probably go higher than this in the NBA Draft. Cole Anthony is an exciting guard to watch and played very well in ACC competition.
Spencer Rattleman of The Stepien stated the following as his strengths:
"“Competitor on both ends of the court and a real “pros pro” – insanely hard work ethic. Someone who brings it every game on both ends – don’t need to worry about taking nights off. Puts pressure on opposing defenses with his engine-style game and gets into players on defense. He flashes the ability to really try and get back in the play if playing from behind on a play, but I would like to see a more consistent effort – doesn’t always try to get back if he thinks he’s dead in the water / if he has teammates looking to help.”"
With Russell Westbrook and James Harden looking to get out of Houston, the Rockets will look to make a major rebuild while trying to obtain young assets and future picks for their two superstars. That being said, the Rockets will look to draft the best player available, with no regard to being position-specific. Cole Anthony as the best available is debatable, but he is certainly the biggest name available in this draft range.
