Precious Achiuwa is regarded as one of the most athletic players in this year’s NBA Draft, unfortunately, he’s underrated after being in James Wiseman’s shadow earlier in the season. Achiuwa made a splash in his freshman season in the American Athletic Conference as the All-AAC Player of the Year.
Achiuwa was solid on offense, where he averaged 15 points with over ten rebounds per game. Achiuwa is decent at the perimeter but definitely needs to improve that part of his game to help Minnesota stretch the floor. Achiuwa is also very capable on the defensive side of the ball, where he can switch onto guards and bigs. Achiuwa is very athletic for a wing position and there are plenty of available minutes in Minnesota.
If Minnesota drafts either Anthony Edwards or LaMelo they’ll look to fill the gap between Karl Anthony Times and their rookie guard. Achiuwa can definitely fill into the big wing position and can make the team lethal within the paint and strong pick-and-rolls.
