Scouting Report. SG/SF. 18. 537. Pick Analysis. University of Vanderbilt. Aaron Nesmith. player

Aaron Nesmith was no doubt the best player on this terrible Commodores team and played really well last season. Nesmith was absolutely lights out from beyond the arch and was one of the best college players sitting at a 50 percent three-point field percentage.

Nesmith averaged 23 points and four rebounds per contest, playing against a competitive SEC conference. He also had a team-high of 60 three’ despite getting a minor injury. Nesmith is also really good at isolation defense as he only allowed .7 points per isolation possession.

If the Mavericks keep this pick, they’ll look to add a good young wing. With Porzingis sitting at the power forward position, the Mavs should look to add another wing to pair with him to stretch the floor. Nesmith is a great three-point shooter and adding him to the team can solidify them as the best three-point team in the league with Seth Curry being one of the best in the NBA.
