University of Georgia. player. 1. 527. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. SG. Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards was by far the best player in college hoops last season. He did absolutely amazing playing in Athens in the SEC. Obviously, there is some more speculation with the number one pick but apparently, both LaMelo Ball and James Wiseman have told Minnesota that they’d rather be passed on.

If Ball and Wiseman are really refusing to play for the Timberwolves then they’d still be happy to take Anthony Edwards. Anthony Edwards is really talented and can fill into the shooting guard role fairly well. The Timberwolves can use Edward’s talent and give them another young player on their roster.

Edwards averaged 19 points per game, five boards and nearly three assists per contest. Edwards was an All-SEC phenom and proved to be great on both sides of the ball. Edwards also ranked 12th in the league with a little over one steal per game.

So because Wiseman and Ball don’t fancy moving to Minnesota, the pick is more of a question. The Timberwolves can be shopping this pick but for the right price of a good star. Minnesota can benefit from grabbing Edwards but the pick may be traded to a team looking to get a pick earlier.
