Jaden McDaniels is a great talent from the University of Washington. McDaniels is a good shooter while hitting mid-range shots at a high efficiency. McDaniels has a great dribble package and is really good around the pick-and-roll.

McDaniels averaged 13 points and five rebounds per match for the Huskies. Glen Willis of PeachTreeHoops stated the following about McDaniels:

"“He seems to see every pass and generally stays under control when creating shots for others in the half court. The volume of turnovers he collected last season were largely related to times when he would struggle to play under control.”"

The Pelicans would do well to pick up McDaniels because he would add depth to the four position. McDaniels is sturdy enough to play at the center position, so having him to be able to replace Hayes or Williamson would be beneficial. McDaniels can add a lot of strength to the roster and earn a major role on the team as a roleplayer.
