Deni Avdija is a superstar overseas and he deserves to be as high as he does. Avdija is more likely to go the Warriors because they already have a few guards on their roster and who knows how much improving Ball will do on the roster. Ball is really talented but going to the Warriors, he wouldn’t get a lot of minutes. You also have Wiseman as an option, which is quite possible but Avdija is less of a risk. Avdija is really good and sits at a tall six foot, nine inches.

Wiseman is likely more of a risk than Avdija as his stats come from a small sample size. Wiseman is great but it’s hard to put a ball-dominant player on a team with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Avdija can take a backseat and won’t need to rush development for Golden State.

Avdija is the typical European talent, he has good footwork and a polished skill set. Eric Fawcett of NBA.com stated the following:

"“Most of Avdija’s value as a prospect comes from his playmaking ability as a 6’9″ forward. Showing great flexibility to get a low dribble for a man his size he can protect the rock while weaving around ball screens, and when he gets into the teeth of the defense he has a variety of tools. The option to pull up with a high-release jumper that is near impossible to block is always there and he’s also more than willing to take it all the way to the cup and initiate contact. If there is a pass to be made he’ll recognize it and use his length to create the passing angle and with his great sense of poise – he seldom throws the ball away recklessly.”"

The Warriors can still take Wiseman at this pick but we’ll have to see what the front office is thinking closer to time.
