Following the Charlotte Hornets grabbing LaMelo Ball this year in the NBA Draft, the team should consider the following offseason moves.

The Charlotte Hornets got him, LaMelo Ball, the high school basketball megastar who went overseas to compete in the NBL. This NBA Draft, the organization grabbed the perfect prospect for the future of the team and the basketball culture of the great city of Charlotte. Ball brings so much to the roster and can put Swarm City on the map.

The Hornets have already paired Ball with a roster full but was able to pickup the traditional big-man Vernon Carey Jr from Duke and the College of Charleston star Grant Riller. The roster already includes a young core, with Most-Improved candidate Devonte’ Graham, rookie sharpshooter PJ Washington and Michigan State alum Miles Bridges.

Even though the roster has a variety of young talents, the team can pursue a trade for some veteran players that can bring experience to the organization and can pair well with Ball. With their massive cap space, the Hornets can go out and get a few really good players without trading away all of their future assets. These acquisitions and pairing with both Ball and the organization can push the team into serious playoff contention.
