Charlotte Hornets: Pros and Cons of signing Gordon Hayward

The Charlotte Hornets, in a surprising move, signed previous All-Star Gordon Hayward to the roster, and here are the pros and cons of adding Hayward to the rsoter.

The Charlotte Hornets were looking to make a splash this offseason and to put together a competitive playoff roster and they aren’t doing half bad. Swarm City added Gordon Hayward to the team in the middle of the first full-day of NBA Free Agency.

Gordon Hayward was a previous All-Star in Utah and has since fought a variety of injuries including a gruesome one in his first Celtics game. Hayward has been steadily improving and getting his skills back to where they were pre-injury. Hayward averaged 17 points per game last season along with six rebounds and four assists.

Adding Hayward has so far been a toss-up for fans within the Queen City as some are happy, some are content and some are very unhappy. Swarm and Sting featured a poll and here are the results:

The move was not at all expected for me but I don’t absolutely hate it. Let’s look at the pros and cons of this signing.
