Free Agency has been crazy so far, and the Charlotte Hornets have now made another roster move.

It’s no secret that the Charlotte Hornets have been on the rise with their recent off-season moves so far. On Saturday, the Hornets signed Gordon Hayward, and then the team made another signing on Sunday.

With the team’s signing on Sunday, fans will get to see a familiar face with the team’s recent signing. On Sunday, the Hornets re-signed center Bismack Biyombo, who was an unrestricted free agent.

So far, details on the deal to bring Biyombo back have not been released. Biyombo was one of the Hornets’ top players in terms of salaries. Biyombo’s free agency helped pave the way to the Hornets having enough cap space to sign Gordon Hayward.

During this past season, Biyombo had one of the best seasons of his career. In his 9th year, Biyombo averaged 7.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game; this was the best offensive year of his career.

Biyombo had one of the best offensive games of his career last season. This game came during the 102-101 victory of the Detroit Pistons, where Biyombo shot 8/11 from the floor and finished with 19 points.

When looking at his defense, ESPN ranked Biyombo as the 17th center in the league in terms of defensive plus/minus last season. Biyombo also averaged 0.9 blocks per game for Charlotte.

With this signing, the Charlotte Hornets continue to lose out on cap space. Depending on what the team does with some of its players will determine if the team will have enough cap space to pursue other free agents.
