Charlotte Hornets lineups: 5 lineups the team can use in 2021
The Charlotte Hornets Best lineup
LaMelo Ball, Devonte’ Graham, Gordon Hayward, PJ Washington, Vernon Carey Jr
LaMelo Ball will likely be the best guard on the roster and will be great for both scoring and playmaking. Ball averaged over six assists in Australia and had been the best playmaker within his rookie class. Ball will likely take the starting role from Rozier since he will likely run the offense for the team.
Devonte’ Graham averaged 18 points and seven assists and was a Most Improved candidate last season. Graham was good from behind the arch, shooting nearly 40 percent from three-point land. Graham became the face of Charlotte last season and he showed flashes of greatness that will put him into the starting lineup.
Gordon Hayward is still a really talented basketball player and last season he averaged the best numbers that he has had since his injury. With 17 points per game, Hayward showed that he doesn’t HAVE to have the ball in his hand to score. In Boston, he had to share the ball with Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum and he still has been improving his game since his gruesome injury.
PJ Washington was a really talented player in his rookie season and he even made All-Rookie 2nd team. Washington was really good on offense and great on defense, where he averaged nearly a block per game. Washington is by far the best player at the Power Forward position.
Vernon Carey Jr, I expect to earn himself a starting position at the Center spot. Carey Jr was one of the best players in college hoops last season and dominated with his “traditional” moves. Carey Jr averaged 18 points per game for the Blue Devils, so his capabilities on the floor can definitely surpass those of Cody Zeller.
