The Charlotte Hornets Defensive lineup

Terry Rozier, Devonte’ Graham, Miles Bridges, PJ Washington, Bismack Biyombo

Rozier and Graham, are the two best defensive guards on the roster. The duo is fierce on defense and can give opposing guards trouble. The tandem are the best players on defense for the one and two positions for Swarm City.

Miles Bridges is great on defense where he gets about half a steal per game with nearly a block per game. Bridges is also great for defensive rebounds with four per game, where he can make the team great on defense. Bridges shines as a young small forward with defensive upside and was tied for second individually for defensive net rating. Bridges is even committed to becoming a better defensive player for the Hornets.

Washington is great defensively and feels like it’s one of the best facets of his game after his first season. Washington stated the following on NBA.com:

"“For me, I’m just trying to do good things on the court whether it’s defense, rebounding. I try to impact the game any way I can, even if my shot isn’t falling. I just try and stay valuable in every aspect. [I want to focus on] my playmaking and my ball handling. Those will be big for my game. That’s what I’ve been working on and I’m going to continue working on.”"

Bismack Biyombo is a great defensive player and averaged the most blocks per game on the team. Biyombo is the best perimeter protector on the roster and even though he was overpaid, he is still great around the rim. Biyombo is someone we should use in the late minutes of regulation.
