LaMelo Ball deserves a bigger role for the Hornets

Michael Jordan, you drafted Ball to be the face of your franchise and to sell tickets… start him!

Not only has LaMelo Ball been having a really good freshman year but he is also deserving of more minutes for Charlotte. Every time Ball steps onto the court, the team gets a surge of energy and the virtual crowd goes wild. Hornets twitter loses their minds and gets super hype for LaMelo’s minutes.

LaMelo Ball is offensively craft and has been efficient in his roleplaying minutes. Ball is currently averaging 11 points, four rebounds and nearly five assists per contest. In such limited sixth man minutes, Ball has been playing very well, and to have those averages with only 24 minutes per game. Ball’s passes are electric as so many of his assists end up on every highlight page across Instagram, Tik Tok and Twitter.

LaMelo’s talent on the court extends past his offensive capabilities. Ball is defensively one of the best guards in the league and shines for the Hornets. Ball is currently averaging 1.9 steals per game coming off the bench, putting him within the top five for NBA’s steals per game.

Ball has been doing absolutely great in his limited minutes but if he was to start, the team would greatly benefit. Devonte’ Graham has been struggling a lot this season, where he is shooting 27 percent and only logging nine points per game. Graham is a quality player and should be starting but with his struggles so far this season, it just makes sense to start LaMelo Ball.
