“Sky” Miles Bridges should be a solid starter for the Hornets

I will scream it from the rooftops and will pay no heed to the criticism I get for saying this, Miles Bridges should be starting!

Miles Bridges has been having a really good year so far looking to be the Hornet’s biggest contributor off the bench alongside LaMelo Ball. Bridges play shows the amount of upside his career may have with electric dunks and a lot of hustle.

Bridges is averaging nine points per game, which is a four-point differential after getting about five minutes cut between last year and this year. Bridges is shooting nearly 45 percent from the field and is the leader of the secondary. Bridges brings so much athleticism to the table for the Hornets. Sky Miles catches lobs just about every game proving his connection with rookie LaMelo Ball to be strong.

I understand that PJ Washington is better as a defender than Bridges, however, Miles just has pure athleticism. Bridges is constantly hustling up and down the court with speed and passion, which makes me wonder if his role within the team could be increased. Now I understand that people will be hesitant to start Bridges over Washington but I think with the amount of effort Miles is putting in, that he can be a quality starter for the Hornets.

Now we could always start Miles Bridges at the four-position and PJ Washington at the center position, creating a solid small-ball lineup but regardless, I think Bridges has to be in consideration of taking Washington’s starting spot. All of their stats are about the same, except I think Bridges hustles more.

Why not see how high Sky Miles Bridges can soar?

With an increased role for any of these players, I believe that the Hornets will begin to improve greatly as a team and can make a splash within the Eastern Conference.
