Thumbs Up: Team’s Fight to Win

As soon as the Charlotte Hornets opened up the fourth quarter, all momentum was lost as they saw the Miami Heat storm by them. This team has grit, it has guts, and this team proved that they will not go away quietly.

With just over 3 minutes left in the game, the Heat were up 111-101. Thanks to the hot hands of Malik Monk and Devonte’ Graham, the Hornets were able to shoot their way back into game. On top of this impressive offensive performance, the defense was spectacualr in the final three minutes and overtime, allowing only 10 points in that stretch of time, while the Hornets scored 28 points in the same amount of time.

The one thing that is different about this team than the other Hornets’ teams, is that this year’s team never feels out of the game. There have been several games this year where the Hornets have fallen behind, only to see themselves come roaring back into the game. While they have lost some of those games, the amount of fight that this team shows is very encouraging.
