Thumbs Up: The play of LaMelo Ball

For as bad as the first half was for the Charlotte Hornets, they did turn things around in the second half, thanks in large part to the play of LaMelo Ball.

Ball continues to prove that he is able to play and compete with the superstars of this league. He never backed down, but rather he stepped up in big moments. When the game seemed like it was getting out of control, it was his hand that kept them in the ball game.

One of the more impressive stats in the NBA is the 50-40-90 stat. What this shows is the shooting percentage by a player from the field (50%), from three (40%), and from the free-throw line (90%), and while this stat is considered more as an “entire year” stat, it should be noted that LaMelo Ball went 50-50-100 in tonight’s game versus one of the top teams in the East.

There doesn’t seem to be a stage that is too bright for Ball; he has been a big ingredient in making Charlotte Hornets’ basketball fun to watch again.

Let’s see if the Hornets can get back to their winning ways on Friday night, as they host the Utah Jazz, who sit atop of the Western Conference standings.
