The 19-year-old rookie for the Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo Ball, had no doubt the best game of his NBA career against the third best defensive team in the league. Ball finished a career-high 34 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds on the night on 14-27 shooting from the field with no turnovers.

Ball really displayed the next man up mentality, as he was inserted into the starting lineup for the third straight game and was given more minutes after Devonte’ Graham left the game in the second quarter due to a groin injury.

Ball continues to show why he has a strong case for Rookie of the Year. Ball is now the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double and the youngest player in Charlotte Hornets franchise history to score more than 30 points in a game.
