Round 1 – Picks 21 through 23

Auburn. Sharife Cooper. 21. player. 100. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. PG

The Indiana Pacers need to get some young depth at the point guard position by taking Sharife Cooper. The Pacers will be getting an offensive stud if they take Cooper. He’s averaged 20.3 points and 8.9 assists per game.

While his numbers look great, Cooper still needs to improve his shooting. Cooper has shot 24% from deep. If he can improve his outside shot, I see him being a solid contributor off the Pacers’ bench.

PF. Texas. Greg Brown. player. Scouting Report. 22. 169. Pick Analysis

The Houston Rockets are in need of more size on their roster. The Rockets have made many changes this year, which has led to them getting a variety of draft picks. Christian Wood has been great for them in the frontcourt, and if he continues to play center, the team should look at getting someone who can work their way up to start next to Wood.

Greg Brown has averaged 11.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for Texas. He can score efficiently and can shoot from anywhere on the court. The Rockets could use his three-point shooting, which has been steadily improving.

He’s got great size and can really help Houston on both sides of the court. If the Rockets want to move on from PJ Tucker, then Brown is their guy.

73. Scouting Report. Florida. 23. player. Keyontae Johnson. Pick Analysis. SF

The Denver Nuggets can improve their depth at the small forward spot by selecting Keyontae Johnson. The Florida product has only played in four games this season because of his heart conditions, which made him collapse in the middle of one of his games.

If Johnson can recover from this heart issue and control it, he would be a solid option for Denver. Before his injury, he was having the best shooting season of his career at Flordia. I hope Johnson will be alright because he could do a lot of good things off the bench for the Nuggets.
