Round 1 – Picks 12 through 14

Pick Analysis. RJ Nembhard. 12. Scouting Report. PG. Tennessee. player. 169

John Wall is starting point guard at the moment, but the Houston Rockets need some young talent to come off of their bench and eventually take over this team at this key position.

Houston is going to get an experience college basketball player if they select RJ Nembhard in the lottery. Nembhard has averaged 16.9 points, 4.1 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game. His senior year has been the best in his entire college career, as he improved in every category.

SG. LSU. 125. Pick Analysis. Cameron Thomas. 13. player. Scouting Report

The Atlanta Hawks are in need of more depth at shooting guard. They’ve picked up some players as of late, but drafting Cameron Thomas would give them more options off their bench. Thomas has only played in one season so far at LSU, but he’s been putting up some huge numbers.

As a freshman, Thomas has averaged 22.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He’s efficient from inside the arc, but he must work on his shooting from deep. If the Hawks can develop his shooting, they should have a nice guard to add to their rotation.

29. 14. Michigan. Franz Wagner. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. SF

It’s clear that the San Antonio Spurs need some young upgrades to their roster. Selecting Franz Wagner will ensure that they will have a production coming from the bench.

Wagner is averaging 12.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He’s able to shoot the ball from anywhere while also providing some solid defense. Wagner would likely not start right away for the Spurs, but Coach Gregg Popovich would enjoy coaching him.
