Nate Darling went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft and signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets.

Nate Darling earned first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) honors during his junior season at the University of Delaware. He averaged 21 points per game and shot 45% from the field and 40% from three.

Darling can shoot. He doesn’t have the best mechanics, but he makes it work. While he doesn’t excel at creating space off the dribble, he has shown that he has the potential to build the skill. Look for the Swarm staff to encourage Darling to work on creating his shot opportunities more inside the bubble.

Darling has great court vision and is a solid ball-handler, but is not explosive. If shooting at a high percentage was the only thing that it took to solidify a spot on an NBA roster, Darling would be already there. He is a liability on defense and will look to improve on those skills this season to earn an opportunity down the line with the Hornets.
