Final Record

Wins during the last month of the regular season are great for the development and confidence of NBA players. The Hornets pick up quite a few of those here in May. Charlotte goes 5-5 in May and finishes the regular season with a winning percentage of .500, 36 wins and 36 losses.

Finishing the regular season with an even record would be a big step forward for the Hornets franchise. In the Eastern Conference, a 36-36 finish could secure a top-six finish, securing a spot in the playoffs without having to earn a spot via the Play-In Tournament. If not, the Hornets would certainly be a participant in the tournament. Whichever happens, the Hornets’ season won’t end with the regular-season finale for the first time in five years.
