Round 2 – #57: David Duke, G, Providence

If the Charlotte Hornets choose to move on from prospect Grant Riller this offseason, the team could look to their final pick in the draft to pick up another point guard.

David Duke has improved in each of his three seasons at Providence. He has become a guard that can play on or off the ball, and he can score from the inside or out.

The past season, Duke appeared and started in 26 games, averaging 16.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. He has nice mechanics on his shot but needs to be more consistent at taking and hitting high-percentage shots.

Selecting Duke would add another good rebounder at the position. He has the ability to penetrate the lane but needs to work on finishing in traffic. Like Flanigan, Duke needs to also improve on the defensive end.

Patience, the Charlotte Hornets will upgrade the center position. dark. Next
