Milwaukee Bucks

Series: Hornets won 2-1

While many people will look at this series and throw out the second game because Milwaukee rested all five of their usual starters, a win is a win, and the Hornets still got a win over the Bucks with Giannis Antetokounmpo on the floor; in fact they won that game with LaMelo Ball grabbing his career high 27 points in the first game of the series that culminated in a Hornets win.

The Hornets match up the best against Milwaukee, but they will need to get a string of wins together if they want to get into a possible 3/6 match-up with the Bucks. Charlotte has played well defensively against the Bucks, and shutting the guys around Giannis will be the key. The pandemic did derail a lot of the Bucks’ momentum a season ago and they were bounced by the Miami Heat in the second round last summer in the Orlando Bubble. It could be interesting to see if that feeling lingers in the minds of the Bucks and if the Hornets can take advantage.

Charlotte will be looking to make a late charge with seven games left to improve their standing into either the 7th spot or even the 6th spot to avoid the play-in tournament.
