Brad Wanamaker filled in nicely for the Hornets at the guard position with a plethora of injuries after the trade deadline.

When the Charlotte Hornets traded for guard Brad Wanamaker at the trade deadline this season, it was a harmless trade that many fans didn’t think anything of. At the time, LaMelo Ball and Devonte’ Graham were both out with injuries and Charlotte desperately need guard help.

While nothing spectacular, Wanamaker averaged 6.9 points and 3.4 assists in 22 games played with the Hornets. He had some key plays in wins down the stretch and did as much as he could for a Charlotte team that needed healthy bodies.

However, Wanamaker is 31-years-old and there is no reason to believe the Hornets will re-sign him with many other backup guards available on the market.

Next. Charlotte Hornets should let Malik Monk walk in free agency. dark
