Charlotte Hornets: Identifying the 3 biggest offseason needs
The Charlotte Hornets had a very disappointing end to the season, falling to the Indiana Pacers in the 9/10 NBA Play-In Tournament game to miss the playoffs for the fifth consecutive year.

Despite this end to the season, overall the Hornets exceeded expectations. Who knows, without being bit by the injury bug and with a little more luck, maybe Charlotte could have potentially avoided the play-in game and finished in a top-six seed that would have guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.
Unfortunately, that is not reality. What is reality is that the Hornets have a very bright future. Charlotte will try to enhance the team offseason to hopefully continue their ahead-of-schedule course to becoming a contender.
The next step is making the playoffs, yet there are some big decisions that need to be made with the makeup of the roster. With those decisions, the Hornets will continue in their team-building process to build a squad around last offseason acquisitions LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward.
