Richaun Holmes

Richaun Holmes looks to be one of the Hornets’ top-free agent targets this year. Charlotte initially wanted to trade for Holmes at the deadline, but they were unable to find a deal that worked.

Holmes easily had the best season of his career this past season. He averaged 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. Holmes even finished the season shooting 64% from the floor.

Holmes would be a great addition if the Hornets want to go for a steadily improving young talent. His offensive game continues to get better, while he has tried to implement an outside game.

Defense is a huge issue Charlotte will be addressing this offseason. Holmes’s ability to get back on defense and make an impact is another quality that will interest the Hornets.

Charlotte will have to put some money aside for Holmes. Being that there are not a lot of great unrestricted free agent centers, the market could increase for players with Holmes’s potential impact.

Holmes is 27 years old and he could make an instant impact in Charlotte. He’s entering his seventh season and will be looking to get back into the playoffs after appearing in three games in 2018 with the Philadelphia 76ers.
