The Charlotte Hornets have a young core with veteran leadership

The Charlotte Hornets have certainly had their misses in certain draft picks in their recent history. However, general manager Mitch Kupchak is actively changing the narrative around the Hornets draft success.

Charlotte holds one of the youngest cores in all of the NBA. With this young roster, the Hornets overachieved in what was expected to be a down year.

If the Charlotte front office can find a way to hold this group together, the Hornets can blossom into one of the more exciting teams in the NBA.

With one of the more exciting rosters in the league, Charlotte could be a potential landing spot for free agents interested in looking for a hungry group ready to take the next step.

This Hornets roster already holds veterans such as Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward.

Whether the Hornets find a trade that suits their current conditions or holds onto recent acquisitions, Charlotte is in a good spot to surround young talent with veteran leadership.

If Charlotte is able to have a successful summer in free agency and the draft, the Hornets could potentially be set up to be a top-four seed in the East next year and for many years to come.
