The Charlotte Hornets have the flexibility the summer to improve their roster in free agency

This is the fun part about being a Charlotte Hornets fan at this current stage.

It seems as if, in recent history, fans have been worried about booting up the trade machine just to get Nicolas Batum off the books. Now, fans have the ability to draw up trades that would be dream scenarios that could propel Charlotte into a top-four position in the Eastern Conference.

Charlotte has holes on their roster to fill and plenty of players Mitch Kupchak has to work with to fill those holes.

Even if Charlotte opts to hold onto their current talent, they still have cap space to fill holes this summer. With cap space, Kupchak can focus on finding someone to fit well beside Ball, add depth, and round out the rotation.

The Hornets front office will have decisions to make as to what direction the franchise will be headed. However, there are tons of options Charlotte could go with. With the right moves, the Hornets will be set up for a very bright future.
