With the NBA Draft less than a month away and the Charlotte Hornets being cemented into the 11th overall pick barring a trade, Charlotte can start to key in on draft prospects who make the most sense for the Hornets at 11.
This isn’t your traditional big board where I would rank all the prospects top to bottom, rather one focusing on the Hornets needs and being realistic about who will be there when it’s our turn to pick. Having Oklahoma State’s Cade Cunningham top this big board would be a little bit silly unless Detroit wants to hand over that #1 pick. For this reason, I won’t be including my top five of this class: Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Jalen Green, Jalen Suggs, and Jonathan Kuminga.
This big board is going to include 10 players that the Hornets should have on their checklist. Thinking about the current make-up of Charlotte’s roster, they’re likely to focus on defense and shooting. Lucky for the Hornets, there are some absolute studs are entering this draft who possess those desired traits. The center position is a huge hole on this team as well but there’s a huge drop-off after Mobley.
Let’s get into it.
