With the 2021 NBA Draft about a week away, the Charlotte Hornets can start to key in on prospects they deem worthy of the 11th overall pick. Despite making a run in the Eastern conference and barely missing out on a playoff spot, Charlotte still has quite a bit of needs they need to address before they can be confident that they’re ready to compete in the playoffs.

It has become common knowledge that the Hornets need major help on the defensive end of the floor. It’s also become clear that when you say “defense” most people think Charlotte absolutely has to take a center and no other position can contribute on the defensive end as much as that position does. The Hornets do need a center, bringing in solid perimeter defenders is also just as important.
