Danny Green – Philadelphia 76ers – Shooting Guard – 34

Danny Green will be entering his 13th year in the NBA and has accomplished just about everything a player of his caliber should strive for. Green is a 3-time NBA champion, winning with the Spurs, Raptors, and Lakers, while also featuring on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team back in 2017. Green has always been respected in the NBA for his contributions on the defensive end and as an elite three-point shooter.

Green would bring three desirable traits with him to the Hornets if they were to go this route. There have been some negative fan opinions of him over the past couple of seasons but if you aren’t Lebron James or Joel Embiid there’s a good chance that the Los Angeles and Philadelphia fan bases don’t like you.

Even though he’s had some rough playoff performances over the past two seasons, Green still shot 40% from three on 6.3 attempts per game. He’s 34 years old so don’t expect him to step up and guard the opposing team’s best ball handler all game anymore but even at his age he shouldn’t hurt you on the defensive end of the court.

Green could come in and not only be a contributor on the court but be a mentor for Charlotte’s youth off the court as well. Green is a player who’s been on some of the best NBA teams of all time and can share some words of wisdom and teach our team how to win. Green could just be looking to sign a veteran minimum deal with a championship contender but if that doesn’t work out, he should still be able to compete for the playoffs in Charlotte.
