A new NBA season is on the horizon, and with that means the return of everyone’s favorite video game, NBA 2K. Every year 2K Sports releases player ratings out to the public so everyone can overreact to the disrespect their team is receiving in that year’s installment. Charlotte Hornets‘ fans are no exception as Miles Bridges was the subject of disrespect by the video game.

On Aug. 18, NBA 2K released a list of top five dunkers in the game and Bridges was nowhere to be found. This comes as a surprise as Bridges has made a name for himself as one of, if not the, best in-game dunker in the NBA. The arrival of an elite playmaker in LaMelo Ball has only made that more obvious and prominent around the league.

According to NBA.com, Bridges should slot in at No. 4 as his dunk percentage of 91.1% is better than Ja Morant (79.3%) and Derrick Jones Jr. (83.3%). Bridges has the same percentage as Zion Williamson who tops this list and has become known as an unstoppable force inside the paint. Zach Lavine (96.4%) and Aaron Gordon (91.2%) post the highest percentages out of this crop.

Out of everyone listed, only Williamson has more dunk attempts (135) than Bridges (90). Not only is Bridges efficient at converting them, but he’s also doing it on a more frequent basis than others on the list.

Bridges has taken note of his exclusion from the list; it looks like Bridges and Ball will be looking to prove doubters wrong this upcoming season.

Bridges deserves his respect and should be in the top-five on 2K’s list. The high-flying dunks of Bridges have been so good that it’s gotten Hornets broadcaster Eric Collins his own highlight tape of reactions. No one else on this list can say the same thing.
