Terry Rozier’s new deal still keeps Charlotte Hornets on the right track

Rozier provides veteran leadership to a young Charlotte team
Besides the fact that Rozier is arguably underrated considering he averaged 20.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game last season, there is no denying that he has been a key leader for the Hornets over the last two seasons.
When Borrego made the decision to play Rozier at shooting guard with Graham and Ball at the point in that time, Rozier never publically complained that he wasn’t at his natural position and embraced it.
With Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo no longer in town, Rozier has quickly become one of the most experienced players on the roster at just 27-years-old.
Rozier has also been extremely valuable with the game on the line, according to StatMuse.
He’s improved each season he’s been in the league and you can’t forget the playoff experience he gained while playing for the Boston Celtics, getting all the way to the conference finals.
Rozier likely knows his role with the Hornets is to contribute and improve like he has, while helping guide the younger players as the team improves. With a long-term deal locked up, it’ll be much easier for him to accept that.
