The Charlotte Hornets 2021-22 schedule has been released and the full 82-game slate is set for the team to try and make its first playoff appearance since 2016. Barring unforeseen circumstances, this will be the first time in two seasons that Charlotte gets to play a full 82 game schedule. Charlotte will have four games broadcasted on ESPN, and four games on NBA TV.

The hype is growing for the Hornets with LaMelo Ball entering his second year, Miles Bridges bound to take another leap, and rookie James Bouknight coming to the Queen City with plenty of promise.

However, the first half of the schedule isn’t a cakewalk by any means. With the season beginning with a home opener against the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 20, Charlotte plays nine of its first 13 games on the road and will go on its first western road trip beginning Nov. 3.

During the trip, they will have five games in seven days, including games against the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers, and Golden State Warriors. Charlotte will have a total of 10 road games in November. From Dec. 13-23, the Hornets will have their longest road trip of the season, playing six games in 10 days on the road with games in Texas, Portland, Phoenix, Utah, and Denver.

The second half of the schedule is a bit easier for Charlotte. The longest homestand of five games is from March 16-25. The Hornets will play eight of nine games at home from February 4-27. Additionally, the Hornets will have 15 back-to-back sets of games.

Let’s take a look at five must-see games on the schedule.
