Charlotte Hornets: 5 must-see games on 2021-22 schedule
By Jason Huber
The second battle of the Ball brothers when Charlotte takes on the Chicago Bulls on ESPN.
Entering his second year in the league, Hornets guard LaMelo Ball will faceoff against his older brother Lonzo Ball but this time he will be on a different team.
Lonzo left the New Orleans Pelicans this offseason to sign a large deal with the Chicago Bulls and after the two play against each other in Chicago on Nov. 29, the second game will be broadcasted on ESPN when they return to face off at the Spectrum Center.
The Ball brothers split games last season in the two matchups between Charlotte and New Orleans, making the three games this season must-watch basketball.
Not only did the Bulls add Lonzo this offseason, but they acquired DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso to join Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic on a Chicago team that is hoping to get back into the playoffs.
It’s uncertain how this team will gel, but with both teams looking to become a threat in the eastern conference, that makes the battle between the Ball brothers that much more intense.
In addition, LaVine has been a thorn in the Hornets side every time he plays them, and Vucevic has plenty of experience facing Charlotte after spending years in the division with the Orlando Magic.
These are two teams on the rise and the Ball brothers are the ones leading the way on their respective teams. Hopefully, it makes for a good showing on national television.
