The Devonte’ Graham reunion when Charlotte faces off against New Orleans.
One of the key losses for the Hornets this offseason was point guard Devonte’ Graham, who was sent to the New Orleans Pelicans in a sign-and-trade.
Graham had a breakout season for Charlotte two years ago and got paid for it with a four-year, $47 million deal in New Orleans, but it remains to be seen how much the Hornets will actually miss him.
The thing is, Charlotte won’t have to face Graham and his new team until March 11 in New Orleans, and Graham won’t make his homecoming at Spectrum Center until March 21.
However, even though it will be late in the season, it’ll be a must-see game, especially with Graham now running the show with Duke product and former No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson.
It’s uncertain how good the Pelicans will be, though. They replaced Lonzo Ball with Graham, fired Stan Van Gundy as head coach, and traded away Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams this summer.
However, with Williamson and fellow Duke Blue Devil, Brandon Ingram, anything is possible as both are budding stars in the league.
Graham didn’t spend much time in the Queen City but he should receive a warm welcome when he returns for this game.
