JT Thor should get comfortable in Greensboro but isn’t that far away from contributing for the Hornets as some may think.

At just 19 years old, JT Thor already looks like everything a team may want in a modern-day big man. Thor stands at 6’10 with room to grow and possesses a 7’3 wingspan. He moves well already and can get his hand on everything in the paint. His measurables are perfect and he showed true flashes during Summer League of being able to stretch the floor with his three-point shot.

Likes Jones, Thor will likely start his career off with the Swarm but could see his name called up to the Hornets roster earlier than anticipated. Thor was drafted for his defensive ability, and if he proves he can play at a high level with the Swarm then Charlotte will likely require his services. As it’s expected that the Hornets will struggle at defending the rim this season.

Early on in his career, Thor should really focus on defining his role offensively. He can become a big-time contributor for the Hornets if he can develop his three-point shot and become a consistent threat.

Due to fitting a position of need, it’s not out of the question to think that Thor could become a rotation player late in year one and during year two, and be a starting-caliber big man by year three of his career.
