Well, here we are again. Still unsigned, Bismack Biyombo could find himself back in Charlotte for a third-stint if the Hornets find themselves needing big man depth.

Who else is better than the guy who knows the system better than anyone?

Biyombo is still an unrestricted free agent after spending the past three years in Charlotte and there hasn’t been much talk about him getting close to signing anywhere at this point in the offseason.

Biyombo has never been an offensive threat but has always been a reliable defender and rebounder that can play spurts of minutes. His best performance came in the 2016 playoffs when he was with the Toronto Raptors, which led to a large four-year deal with the Orlando Magic.

In the past three seasons, the Hornets needed Biyombo to be the guy at center due to injuries and it was obvious that he wasn’t the answer.

The argument to sign Biyombo again would be if the young big men behind Mason Plumlee don’t develop quickly enough.

Biyombo took a noticeable leadership role last season, especially with LaMelo Ball, and he could do the same thing for the current young players.
