It’s a little bit surprising that Isaiah Hartenstein is still on the market considering how young he is and how cheap of a price he would come at, but if he remains available he could become a valuable pickup for the Hornets.

Hartenstein has been in the league since he was 20 years old, spending time with the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, and Cleveland Cavaliers, and has great size and length at 7-feet-tall.

Last season, Hartenstein was traded to Cleveland late in the year and averaged a career-best 8.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in 16 games.

It’s unlikely that Hartenstein can ever develop into a starting-caliber center but he’s proven that he can be a reliable bench guy that can stick around in the league for years.

At his height, his ball-handling is quite impressive and he plays decent perimeter defense.

With the Cavaliers stocking up on big men, the chances are low of him returning there and the Hornets should at least give him a call if they aren’t fully confident with the options they have right now.
