Charlotte Hornets: 2 trades for 76ers’ Ben Simmons

As stated, the Charlotte Hornets have several different assets at their disposal to acquire Ben Simmons. After both Washington and Hayward (discussed in the trade prior to this one), Terry Rozier and Miles Bridges are the most likely to be dealt in a Simmons trade.

Miles Bridges is an interesting case. There has been some talk about Klutch wanting both guard Tyrese Maxey out of Philadelphia alongside Simmons in an impending trade. With that said, Bridges is also a Klutch sports client.

Outside of that, though, Bridges is an interesting name to keep an eye on if talks heat up with the Hornets. He would fit well in Philadelphia as a complementary offensive forward – especially if the progression he made toward the end of last season is consistent moving forward. That progression, though, could also be a reason the Hornets do not want to include him in any deals.

Additionally, Terry Rozier can’t be traded for a while since he recently signed the contract extension with the Charlotte Hornets. This is a trade that would likely happen far into the future – as distant as next offseason because of the re-signing. However, Rozier would bring a dynamic presence to the 76ers backcourt that has not been there in the Joel Embiid era.

Jalen McDaniels is an interesting throw-in piece, as well. He has not been able to establish himself as a high-level role player for the Hornets thus far in his career – although they may be inclined to keep him after the progression he showed last year when getting minutes.
