No. 1: Gordon Hayward – Charlotte Hornets – Small Forward

The most experienced player on the Hornets roster, Gordon Hayward comes in at number one as the best shooter on the team.

It’s almost a toss-up between Hayward and Rozier but overall, Hayward has proven to be more consistent throughout his career and can shoot efficiently from anywhere on the field.

Away from five feet from the basket, Hayward’s best shooting percentage last year came from 15-19 feet away, where he made 47.9% of shots.

The only negative thing about Hayward is his injury history but Charlotte has to hope he’ll stay relatively healthy this season to help replace the losses of Graham and Monk’s 3-point shooting.

Hayward is a career 45% shooter from the field and 37% shooter from the 3-point line.

In 44 games last season with the Hornets, Hayward shot 41% from behind-the-arc, which was his best percentage since his rookie season in 2010-11.

In January, Hayward scored a career-high 44 points, shooting a stellar 15-for-25 from the field. Just the pure form that Hayward provides and smart-thinking shots that he attempts makes Hayward the best shooter entering next season.
