Matching Hornets with their NFL parallels: Miles Bridges and DJ Moore

The exciting young cornerstone who is coming into their own

Miles Bridges and DJ Moore both arrived in Charlotte in 2018 as exciting young prospects. Both players came in as part of a young nucleus while veteran players continued to play a role. In the case of Bridges, his rookie season saw most of the frontcourt minutes go to Marvin Williams and Nicolas Batum, while in the case of DJ Moore, his rookie season did see him finish as the second-leading receiver on the team but only fifth in receiving touchdowns.

While he proved to be a contributor for the 2018 Panthers, the likes of Greg Olsen and Devin Funchess were still important aspects of the offensive scheme, as well.

Both Bridges and Moore have improved every season and project to be franchise cornerstones for years to come. For Bridges, the 2021 season saw him post career highs in nearly every category, while Moore is on pace to shatter his personal records for receptions, yards, and touchdowns in 2021.

Both have quickly become fan favorites as Bridges continues to pair alongside LaMelo Ball to form the “Air BnB” tandem and Moore solidifies himself as the Panthers’ primary receiver and one of the best receivers in all of football.
